What's under construction in your city? Please only include large projects or buildings over 8 floors.

Please only include buildings under construction or buildings nearing the construction phase. No fantasy towers.

Thanks

I think the most notable of the many in Toronto right now is the 78 story Aura Condo that is under construction. It will be the tallest condominium in Canada.

One of Pittsburgh's corporate sledgehammers is building a new 545' skyscraper that will do absolutely nothing to help the shortage of Class A office space in the city because the company plans to grow into it.

Here's one rendering, courtesy of the company itself:

The Tower at PNC Plaza will be the sixth-tallest building in Pittsburgh, and the tallest built since Fifth Avenue Place was completed in 1988. It'll be completed in 2015, and should be LEED-certified "platinum." It will do a nice job filling a void in height in the south-central part of downtown.

Los Angeles has the 1000+ Wilshire Grand tower. The existing hotel is being demolished right now - my wife's office has some killer views of the demolition.

Wilshire Grand Tower - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

New tallest, technically.

And then maybe 5-6 other projects over 8 stories.

Cleveland's tallest under construction is the 23-story (Class A) "Ernst and Young Tower" and hotel complex being built in the Flats, opening summer 2013:

Here are some of the larger towers under construction in Seattle. There are a slew of 4-10 story buildings under construction in the core, not to mention some of the farther neighborhoods. Literally dozens of them.

North Lot Development:

Via6:

The Martin:

Viktoria Apartments:

Insignia Condos:

225 Cedar:

815 Pine:

The following have demolition currently underway on site:

2030 8th:

Amazon Complex (across from 2030 8th where the car dealership is):

And the following will break ground later this year:

505 Madison:

5th and Columbia:

And the following in Bellevue, across Lake Washington from Seattle:

SOMA Towers (U/C):

Lincoln Square 2 (Start late this year/early next year):

We'd be here all day if you tried to list all of the 2-6 story projects underway in Los Angeles.

I can see this one from my office building (not this view)

I'd have been able to see 15 Penn Plaza (67 stories) from my window, but it's been cancelled.
