Surprised by Milwaukee, its either safer than i thought it was or maybe the residents are more tough and street smart and don't get scared walking around the hood.?
I can't say that I'm surprised by the results, although I'm stunned that Philly, Baltimore and Detroit aren't included...
Well, maybe not...
It's cute that you think this is clever.

Since it's by metro and Philly has relatively few dangerous/decaying suburbs, I don't find it odd at all. The results have a very narrow spread, though. Factoring in margin of error, most of them are effectively the same.
Minneapolis did feel extremely safe to me, though. I really like that while it's a clean city, it doesn't feel the least bit sterile.

Perception/reality dichotomy. Minneapolis has twice the violent crime rate of Riverside (very low violent crime). Minnie tops the list while Riverside is at the bottom of the barrel above only Memphis and NOLA. With Seattle, you could sort of say people are reacting to the property crime... but Riverside has low property crime. Metro vs City, maybe. There's some rougher towns in the IE (Riverside), but for the most part nothing really that bad.
