The thread on highways sparked an idea for this thread.

What do you feel are the worst highway interchanges, exits, or simply designs in the United States? Please post pictures or use google maps to show them.

Here are a few from back home in Charleston, WV.

Oakwood Road/US 119 exit (I-64)

You can see the tight turns basically in every direction. This is probably the busiest interchange in WV during rush hour.

Kanawha City exit (I-64/I-77)

This is a confusing mess that turns drivers around several times before getting off the exit ramps

Here is one from Albany, NY (near where I live now) that is absurd.

Not the US, but here's the worst I can think of. Yes, nothing to see there:

Honorable mentions:

The second one is comparable to the Kanhawa one, except that there is no reason to build it that way, as there isn't any sizeable river around.

Some of the interchanges in Orlando are pretty awful. Probably the worst being the I-4/SR-408 interchange downtown:

https://www.google.com/maps/@28.5363.../data=!3m1!1e3

Moving from I-4 East to SR-408 East requires you to cross over I-4 twice. There is also very little space to merge when trying to come from that direction as well. There is often a huge traffic jam because the unnecessary curves as well as the lack of merging room.

Coming from SR-408 West, there is a "bridge to nowhere" on the 1st ramp. There is supposed to be a completed bridge to I-4 West at some point, but I cannot find a completion date on that project anywhere.

The Golden Glades interchange in Miami is particularly horrific if you ask me. It was arguably made worse when the flyover lanes were turned into "pay for play" lanes. Getting onto and off of I-95 in a variety of directions includes many turns, merges and even stop lights from certain directions.

Places like the Can of Worms in Rochester and Malfunction Junction in Dayton didn't gain those names through their good design.

Malfunction junction is worse now due to the forever ongoing construction thru downtown Dayton.
