Is creating this thread a roundabout way to tell your "wright" pun?

(Anyone got another pun?)

The roundabout looks fine, but it is the one in charge of doing the sidewalk and putting down the paint that should have been fired for clearly being an idiot....or the one who told them to do it that way should definitely be fired for being an idiot....unfortunately I couldn't work any wright puns into this post.

The paint team probably just hates Walkers and is using the roundabout to cull the herd.

More than just the paint. The entire sidewalk is just off since they didn't move it at all after putting the wider round-about in. Sidewalk should be moved so it's not sending people out across the widest part. That said, it looks like one of those places where the sidewalk only exists because of some bureaucratic mandate. What do you imagine the pedestrian count is there?

Who would want to walk there?

The location appears to be in the middle of nowhere (just the road and some dirt).

It's not in the middle of nowhere. Zoom out a bit and you'll see old cottages on the lake. Lake Pulaski is a prominent lake that draws a lot of people.
