I think the OP is basically saying. Why do I have to pay $5000 for an apartment, while a person is paying next to nothing, for the same space?

Well you had to understand, people have their rights, and you can't go around telling any tenant "okay look, you do not have any money in your account, too bad, you have to vacate and GTFO". Being jealous of any senior citizen for that is stupid. That could be you one day. Yeah I know that scam, hey lets push out to elder, of their nice big NORMAL SIZED spacious home, they had for 70% of their lives, with an biblical view of everything. Then get an theater prick, to move in. Then push them into a smaller complex with an view of the local crime scene.

That is real nice?

Like that commercial, a place for mom. Mom or Pop is okay with their apartment they have been paying into for years, that is their right as an senior, or whatever it might be.

My great grandmother had an complex that was $800 for life. Nobody took the thing, because she and another family member had died their, and the apartment was like her house. Over three generations of people was raised their. So we just gave up the place. I think, back and could have taken the place over, and deal with the $800 for life. Nobody would step up to the plate.

Again people have their rights. You have to remember that is how it is, because in the future that is how it is. Imagine if your old, what then? Be some stupid LEMMING and move out, like an coward. Or stand your ground, and deal with what you agreed upon, and what is offered.

If the world was just money, money, money we wouldn't have any communities.

"People have their rights" you wrote at least twice in that disjointed and hard-to-follow post. Of course they do. However, do people have a "right" to a particular level and quality of housing at a particular price? I submit not.
