Miami does not have a lot of empty condos at all, in areas like Brickell, the occupancy rate is high, that is why the rent prices have been increasing.

Dubai...21st century urbanization...LOL

I don't get this re-doing a American City to some DUBAI??? IT was a city BUILT FRON SCRATCH IN THE DESERT???? SO IF ANYTHING.....YOU DO IT IN THE AMERICAN DESERT SOUTHWEST... simple. We have NYC and CHICAGO with supertalls . Chicago had a few planned that the CRASH KILLED? It already has the Water, the Skyline? No re-doing it's downtown nessesary? It already is renewed ????? Just add more to it. It has some empty space near downtown yet....NYC does not. Or invest in Detroit again too.

Empty condos as in home to snowbirds that don't live in those condos for parts of the year.

Do you mean this Dubai?

http://heavenawaits.com/dubai---the-...e-middle-east/

My husband was in U.A.E in the early 90's until 96. He took some pictures, his looked most like #4.
He said all those people did was tear down buildings and start building new ones. Also, he told us that the people stood at the Gasoline tanks and let the gas flow out of the gas tank of their car, down the road and didn't care. I dont know, Gates might could build a Dubai, but maybe not.

Husband never got to see this Dubai.

I tried to fix that url 5 times, should be glory-of-the-middle- east
Sorry about that Just use Google , you need to see those pictures

Build a Dubai-esque desert city in Sonora, Mexico on a beach by the Sea of Cortez. Also build a freeway connection from Phoenix and and Mexico City, then make it a sovereign entity from Mexico and its good to go.

You don't build hwy for us rabble to a Dubai for rich resort complex. Maybe a private jet airport. It would just turn it into another Vegas.

Dubai has massive freeways, and this is North America so those connections along with a large airport would be beneficial.
