What does a skyline actually do for you?

Looking at a nice skyline inspires me, makes me want to work hard, make money, and write cool stuff. I have been fortunate to live in places with great views, right now I am living in a city with a great skyline but I can't see it from my house and it has really been depressing me. It's like a heartbeat or something....I go as often as I can to a place where I can sit and watch the skyline for an hour or two. It's like hypnotherapy almost.
