Default The lake

Are there any lakeside housing developments on or near the big lake? I know there are a few who sail on it.

If you mean the Great Salt Lake, you wouldn't want to live close by it! It's not something that one would usually go wading or swimming in, it often gives off a, shall we say?, not-pleasant odor, and the shoreline is loaded with sand-fleas, flies, and brine-shrimp.
Wouldn't imagine anyone building a home close to it.

I agree, the Great Salt Lake is best viewed from afar. There are other lakes (like Utah Lake) where you can get a home near the water. But then you're dealing with lots of mosquitos. Beautiful views, though!

Last year my four-year-old was pestering us for a couple weeks to take her to the “beach.” So one day we loaded up and went down to the Great Salt Lake. She figured out the old switcheroo pretty quickly. Too bad Utah is a thousand miles from the real beach.
