Like I thought. A debt of 1.6 billion, NOT 25 billion!

"BTW - what's with the obsession with "international" tourists? Ever walk through Zion National Park? Or Canyonlands? Or Bryce Canyon? More international travelers there - than Colorado can shake a stick at."

Care to check the numbers on that? Look up how many Intl travelers DIA gets versus slc. Colorado as a whole sees far more Intnl tourists than utah. Granted, not all tourists come into our airports direct, but Colorado still leads by a far margin for International visits.

Umm that was just your budget deficit last year, you total outstanding obligations are $25 billion. "Colorado has a total state debt of $25,681,980,195 when calculated by adding the total of outstanding debt, pension and OPEB UAAL’s, unemployment trust funds and the 2010 budget gap." This does not count the deficit of $1.5 billion for FY 2011.

Add in your local municial debt (not counting underfunded muni pensions) and your total debt is $55 billion.

Sorry.

This old thread has become an argument about Colorado's debt. Closed.
