Also what type of medical and dental do you have? Deductable? How much is paid by the insurance co? Does every Federal employee have the same type insurance? Thanks.

I am a former government employee. I currently work for a government contractor, with some government employees. I myself am now private sector.
Yes they take federal taxes out of the paycheck. The only things in life that are certain are death and taxes ...
Health insurance is quite good. I paid about $200 a month for very comprehensive coverage. No deductable. The government contributed about $600 a month. In Washington DC, there were several plans to choose from. Utah has Blue Cross as a PPO and Altius as an HMO I believe. I didn't take dental insurance. Honestly can't remember if it was offered. But my insurance plan did have bi-annual cleanings etc.
