What QUIRKY ROADSIDE ATTRACTIONS are there in Utah
I have some free time to travel anywhere around Utah; and I enjoy seeing quirky roadside attractions (meeting locals, learning history, photography, etc.) I have about 4 weeks set aside for my vacation. I recently serviced the air conditioner in my car; so I am all set. Where should I go?

I lived in Utah for 9 years in a small town, 30 miles West of SLC, called Tooele. (2-illah) The places that I enjoyed going were Bingham Canyon Copper Mine (Copperton,UT), Copper Mine Overlook (Middle Canyon in Tooele,UT) Salt Air (I-80 approx. 20 miles W of SLC), Bonneville Salt Flats (I-80 almost to NV state line) Thats also where the Utah Tree is located. And Lagoon. An amusement & water park in Clearfield, UT. About 10 miles N of SLC on I-15. There is also a zoo and aviary in SLC. And there's always the LDS Temple. If your into that sort quirkiness. There is also Bear Lake way up North at the Idaho line.
You might try this same post in the SLC sub-forum. Maybe get some more ideas.

I thought the Salt Flats were interesting where they do the land speed records.
It was amazing to drive through on our way California.

Just a correction to Hillbilly: Lagoon is in Farmington, not Clearfield. Unless you were referring to some other water park in Clearfield (although I'm not aware of any).

You are absolutely right !! My bad. I really liked that place, too. Especially "Lagoona Beach". Those slides are great. Wish I had one now. Supposed to be up to 116 here in Vegas today.

The only quirky roadside attractions that come to mind are the tree near Wendover, NV:
Metaphor, the Tree of Utah, Wendover, Utah
...and the the hole in the rock in Moab, UT
