Just my opinion - but I'd take Moab waaay over Antelope Island. Lots more to do and experience in Moab.

That's true, but just make sure you take plenty of money along. Last time I went there, I was shocked...

Antelope Island, on the other hand, may not be as breathtaking in scenery, but at the same time it's not as breathtaking a money magnet, either. It costs next to nothing and you'll probably have the whole island to yourself this time of year.

Absolutely, but I got the impression the OP was primarily considering northern Utah. Moab would be an addition 4 1/2 hour drive.
