Has anyone lived at Northgate Apts at The Gateway and had any issues? I have had many concerns over the past year of residing here, including bed bugs for the past month now. Also, does anyone know how to get rid of the nasty bugs?

Default Bed bugs at Northgate Apartments

Were you able to get rid of them? I had my place sprayed three times (bagging up, washing, drying everything every time), and still never got rid of them while living there. I even moved to Las Vegas to heat them out, when I read that heat is the only thing that really kills them. During the move, my stuff got so hot that the plastic tarp melted into everything, and I still killed three live ones upon arrival! I re-boxed everything & left it in storage for 7 months. When I was unpacking, there were dead carcasses in the bottom of the boxes. I can only hope I am finally rid of them. What a nightmare! I lost almost everything I owned! I threw out our beds, bedding, clothing, futon, and anything that wasn't absolutely meaningful. What apartment were you in? I hope your experience wasn't as miserable. It's really awful for the kids especially. My 9-year-old was completely traumatized.

Yes, we had them! We never did get rid of them. I tried to get Northgate to reimburse me for the costs associated with fighting the bugs, but they refused--even though the manager admitted that she knew about the bugs BEFORE we moved in. As a single mother of two, the costs were difficult to incure (not to mention the loss of most of our belongings). I am still so freaked out! Now, Northgate is suing me for not paying the last month's rent & for leaving behind contaminated furniture. Seriously. There are so many profanities that I would like to spew their way, but I keep trying to remain peaceful. Trying to find forgiveness.

Call a good pest control company and let them take care of them. They transport on people so you take them into your car, movie theater, relatives houses and everyone will get them. They are nasty and hard to get rid off!

A good company asks up to 900 to eliminate them and keeps checking on the bugs.
Find neighbors that have them so you can fight together to get rid of ths bed bugs.
