Default Zion Lodge, Springdale?

Dear All,

I'm actually from Singapore and I might be going Utah next summer to Zion Lodge. Just wondering, is public transportation there really very inaccessible? Like, if I do not know how to drive and I have no frens who drive, I can very well just think about walking everywhere?

Hee... Mmm, anybody been to Zion Lodge as well? How's it? Very big? Very busy or quite low in terms of business when you were there? Thanks all. Wow, the smileys here are so cute!

Have a lurvely day everyone! m_m

I spent two summers in the 70's working at the lodge. It has the accomadations of any modern hotel. You will find what you need there. As to the transportation problem, If you can get to the lodege, you should be fine. there is afree shuttle service that will take you to all the points of interest, and into Springdale itself. springdale is the little town right outside the main gate. If you are flying into Vegas or LA, you can get flights that will take you into St. George. From there you can get a taxi service that would be expensive to take you up to the lodge. Inquire at the St. George Airport about shuttle services that will take you to the lodge. Or email the Zion Lodge and ask about transportation from the St. George airport to the lodge.

i worked in Springdale for years. you can stay anywhere in the town and take a free shuttle into the park (the entrance fee is 20.00 dollars) the shuttle can be also used to travel around the town. Flannigans is a wonderful place to stay, it is small, quiet and peaceful. the owners are on property and this gives the place a warm family feeling. be prepared for HOT HOT weather. and lots and lots of tourists.
