Sanpete County
We have been investigating places in Utah as a possible retirement location. Sanpete County is a location of high interest. We would appreciate your comments about living in the various communities located in this county.

What exactly did you want to know? I don't live in Sanpete, but I live in the next county over, and I work with several people who do live in Sanpete. I do know most people love living in Sanpete, it has that down home feel. Depending on what your budget is, you can get a lot of house AND property for a good price. Let me know what your specific questions are, and I'll see if I can help.

Sanpete is the poorest county in Utah
Though because of the poverty here, there is some land available. Most people want to keep it a secret. They don't like the hustle bustle from up north down here. If you like four wheelin...and hunting...and buying food at a lot sale you will have come to the right place for retirement.

We have made several trips to Sanpete County to investigate the area and we are going to relocate to Ephraim and have a home built there. Thank you for your comments.

Sanpete's a Great Place to Retire.
Ephraim is a little less ideal because of the college there. But, the rest of the county is very easy going.
Personally, I'd like to keep the country charm, but create an economy with a lot less poverty.

Moroni and Fountain Green
Moroni isnt as good as Fountain Green. When my dad wrote the mayor of Moroni
about the investigation of whether my great great grandfather Jacob Lehi Curtis
was Moroni's marshall he said that he did'nt care about it and had more important things to do than that and to bother somebody in town because most of them are related so you see that they don't care about thing's. They don't
even have a historical society and their cemetery is in a shambles. Fountain Green is cleaner. Mount PLeasant is about 10 miles east of moroni and they have a main street t least with a diner and some stores. Spring City is by Mount Pleasant and every building in town is on the national historical register.

My husband and I are relocating from Cedar City to the vicinity of Mt. Pleasant/ Spring City area for his work.
We have found it a tad difficult to find a quality home to lease/rent.
Anyone have any leads?
Thanks!
