Can anyone tell me if I would run into snow traveling from Provo,Utah to Las Vegas, Nv. in March? I would be traveling on the major interstate. I appreciate all your help.

There could certainly be snow in March. But I've done that drive many times even in winter and never had a problem. You might just have to adjust your departure time by several hours if snow is forecast. We are going that route in December.

I was coming down I-15 in mid-March a few years ago and hit a pretty good snow storm right around Cedar. A guy passed me going at least 60 MPH (I obviously was going too slow for him because I was only going between 45-50) and then must've hit an icy spot because all of a sudden he spun around and we were headed toward each other head on. We just missed by inches. I continued on my merry way but I could see he was a bit shaken and probably a bit embarrassed as he just sat there for awhile as traffic went around him; probably the same folks he passed previously.

Moral of the story: don't be in too much of a hurry on icy roads even if it is March.

Good post about keeping the speed down...there are a ton of accidents between Cedar and St. George...no guard rails, downhill, too much speed..no seat belts...disaster. Also a bad spot is the beaver pass, that could be dicey..we have even had snow here in st. george in late feb so it could be a snowy go. If you take your time, and make yourself pull off if it gets icky you will be ok. I 15 has got to be one of the most travelled interstates in the country..
