Default Eagle Mountain

We may be looking to move to Eagle Mountain. I have been thinking about how remote it is, so I have heard, though I have not been there yet.

Question? Would there be a market for a shopping service? Let me explain: You would place an order with me on a weekly basis. I would shop and deliver your order. I would shop at a warehouse club saving about 30% or more, I would charge a service fee maybe $15.00 plus a 15 % charge on the total order.

This is how it would look: A normal $200.00 Purchase at Smiths, Albertsons, ETC. - 30 % savings = $140.00 + $15.00 Service, gas + shopping time and delivery = $155.00 + 15 % = $23.25 = $178.25. That would be a savings of $21.75 per week never having to leave your home. I could also offer cooking meals, "Personal Chef" services in addition.

Do you think this is feasable? Since I haven't been there yet, the figures may be adjusted. would this be a good service? Or a waste of my efforts?

I have been shopping at a Warehouse club for years and have saved thousands of dollars on my groceries and and other purchases, and I could also could provide consultation on how to do that since most people I talk with don't want to take the time to learn.

I don't live in Eagle Mountain but we have friends who just moved there and we spent the day at their home yesterday. While it is further out from the fwy, it is not THAT remote.

Shopping...and lots of it (Costco, Target, Wal-Mart, Kohl's, etc) is really close by - maybe 15 minutes out.

Default Well I Don't Know

This from another thread.

I live in Saratoga Springs (between Eagle Mountain and Lehi) and the traffic is the only thing I have to complain about so far. The roads are poorly planned and with all the growth in Eagle Mountain and Saratoga Springs they need to widen Redwood Road and make a few more access routes to I-15 to add to Lehi Main Street. It really would take 30 mins or so to get to the freeway from Eagle Mountain, but we have a few stores (Smith's Supermarket, dry cleaning, a few fast food places, Hollywood Video, etc.) in Saratoga Springs and there is a Wal-Mart being built in this area as well... so it's not as remote as it may sound.
