The big problem with moving to a new country are the details. If you live in hotels and take cabs, eat all meals out, do not have a laundry, no internet, a months budget can disappear in a few days. You need to plan to live like the locals.

We lugged one baby and a bunch of luggage around Italy for about a week before we settled into a temporary 1000 year old medieval house and paid 1000 euros per months 400 sq ft plus utilities while we waited for our present house to become available. Now we have this 600 year old stone tower with 3 bd 2 ba and an extra guest apartment for almost the same price.

From what I have heard, moving closer to SLC is better to avoid 'culture shock'. But, again, 2nd hand talk. I'm SW of SLC & I'm a mom to 2 kiddos 12 1/2 mos apart in age, so 'irish twins' as I call them. Plus, I'm from Ohio, so I know what you're coming from & into. Feel free to pm me. =)

I agree to live outside Ogden. For visual beauty alone!

We live in Syracuse, which is about 12 miles away. I would reccomend any of the surrounding cities in Davis county (you could do Weber county as well, but I don't know it well).

Layton, Clearfield, Syracuse, Clinton, etc are all cute. And they are all easily off I-15.

Best of luck with your move!
