Question Which Town For Us???

Hi,
My family are moving in SLC a few months later.
I couldn't decide a town to live yet, pls help me.
My concerns are about three things.

1. Great Public School(Elementary) District
2. Safe & Safe
3. Near Univ.of Utah

Holladay? Sugarhouse? or Sandy? or anywhere else?
Sandy, it seems like a little bit far from U of U. Is there any subway?

Thank you
Bostonian ^__^

depends on your price range!! Federal heights & harvard-yale areas will be more expensive. The avenues & sugarhouse step down some but are still pricey. There is some good areas off the hill towards south salt lake. I'm thinking in the 2700 south area from 700 east and up to holliday Blvd.
We don't have underground rail but we have "trax". Right now there is a main line which runs from Sandy to downtown and there is a connector that runs up to the U of U and Primary Childrens. There are plans for more connectors out to the west but I haven't stayed abreast of which one will be put in first. I think it is either out to the airport or West Valley but it might be the one out to South Jordan, Sorry. The UTA (utah transit authority) website should have more info.
Would you be looking to buy new or existing? For new development Daybreak is being marketed as the new "west Bench". All neighborhoods cycle through kids so it will be possible to find a place for your children to interact no matter what area you want to be in. Places that didn't have young kids 15 years ago are now seeing move ins that bring in children thats just the way neigborhoods evolve.
