Here are some pictures I took from when I was in southern Utah a couple weeks ago.

Zion NP, from the shuttle

They call this "Walter's Wiggles" It is on the trail to Angels Landing

Hiking through the Narrows - very refreshing , especially when its 105 degrees out!

Hiking back from the Narrows. I was surprised how much foilage there was in the middle of the desert!

Checkerboard Mesa, because of the unique patturn etched into the sides of it, found no where else in the park. This is on the east side of the park, near the east entrance.

This was on the Mossy Cave Trail in Bryce Canyon NP. The river shown here is not natural, and was actually dug out by early Mormon Pioneers. It, therefore created a pretty interesting waterfall.

The waterfall. I think it looks like something you'd find in a pool in Vegas or somethin!

Switchbacks going down into the actual canyon itself.

View from Scouts Lookout, ZNP

Atop a rock, looking down

A close up of the hoodoos, BCNP

Another close up

An overview of Bryce

Buffalo!

The Lower Emerald Pool, ZNP. You can kind of see the water dripping from the rock above.

A funny rock we found on the Hidden Canyon Trail

I took a few pictures of the sunset the other night. It's been beautiful with all of the haze from the fires in California.

A little lizzard guy posing for us!

And, what the heck, here's one of the Grand Canyon. I actually liked both Bryce and Zion more.

Doesn't it make you want to live in that area? It's so incredible and gorgeous. I would take that scenery over the ocean any day!

We went and visited my inlaws who live in Syracuse Utah. We went and visited them in June of this year. This is the view from their front yard.
