Saratoga Springs Help Or Eagle Mountain
We are thinking of moving there:
We don't care about LDS, we lived in Sandy for 7 years non LDS.
Jobs, 16.50 per hour customer service is this possible, health benifits?
9 + years experience, no lates or sick days in 9 years. Perfect record.
Snow?
Convenience, shopping, Grocery Smiths, Sams' Club, Costcos, Etc?
Friendliness, as I said non LDS, but don't want any hostility.
Ages 64,and 59 no kids.
Homes less than 200,000
A need for a professional chef to provide healthful meals?
Moving from Rio Rancho New Mexico which is becoming a war zone with gangs ETC. Just want a peaceful place, not wanting to get rich, just a happy life with no worry about crime and getting killed for no reason.
What's the possibilities?
Thanks.

You won't find jobs in those cities (because they're mainly bedroom communities) but you could find something in the Salt Lake area, I'm sure. It's not a great commute, because those towns are pretty far out, but it's not too bad if you take Redwood Rd up to Bangerter, and avoid the congestion in Lehi getting to the freeway.
Saratoga has a grocery store and some other commercial buildings. I'm not sure about Eagle mountain, although I think they don't have much yet. There is supposed to be a Walmart going in out that direction. The house prices are lowest in Eagle Mountain, because it's the farthest away from everything. If you don't mind having to drive for your conveniences, that might be an okay area to look in. You'll find friendly neighbors either place. Both are very family oriented. I recommend driving out and looking both places before you decide where to concentrate your search, because I'm sure they'll be a change from where you are now, and you can gauge the distances you would have to travel, what the neighborhoods and amenities are like, etc.

I don't think you will be able to find a CSR job paying $16.50 per hour. It could be possible, but it will be hard without a college degree.

Living in Eagle Mountain
We recently moved from the Salt Lake area to Eagle Mountain. We also were tired of the drive bys, the noise and the congestion. As it is true Utah county is predominately LDS, You really can't get away from it much in Utah. We love it here and although it is a trade-off as far as travel to shopping, work etc. It has been the best decision of our lives! My husband commutes to Herriman to work and I travel to West Jordan it is worth it. We are both in our late 50's early 60's and the town of Eagle Mountain seems to be younger families. Still a great choice.

Thank You
We are still waiting on the sale of our home, it is sold, but the buyers have to sell theirs first.

The homes less than 200,000 might be a problem, most of the houses in that area are relatively new. I live in the Eagle Mountain area and love it, we have an acre but that will cost you around 350,000.

Well
My wife found one on the internet for $219.00 that she realy likes in Saratoga Springs.
Until I see a check though, I can't get real excited as our hands are tied.
