Question Moving to Logan

My wife and I will be moving to Logan sometime around March it looks like. I just accepted a position in Logan and we'll be moving from Kansas City. We're pretty excited after recently spending the weekend there. Of course, it will be a little stressful selling the house and making the move, but all worth it.
I wanted to get some advice or opinions from the locals. We'll be looking to find something 2-3 bdrm possibly with a garage to rent. While in transition we really need to keep cost down. Thought I'd see if you had any advice where to search or what part of town to look in.
Also, my wife will be looking for employment in the mental health field. She is an LPC and is currently and in-home therapsit with children. She's made some contacts, but not sure that anything is really open. Anyone got any suggestions? Look forward to joining eveyone in Logan, and I think we'll love it!

Congradulations on the new job. I will ask where you are going to be working before I recommend an area to start looking in.
Are you comming from Mo. or Ks.?? I have been on a few trips out to Mo.
We moved up to Cache Valley from the Salt Lake area about three years ago. My wifwe will never go back to the city now.
I don't know where the best place to get advice as far as your wifes work goes but I would probably call CAPSA and get advice from them.

We're coming from KC, MO and I'll be working on the west side of town off W1400N. We really loved the town. Thanks for the advice and again if there's anyone out there familiar with the mental health field we could really use some advice on employment.

If I were you I would start a home search either in North Logan near Greenville elementary or on the southwest section of Logan there are some good listings between 600 south and the golf couse, there are also some new subdivisions going in around 17-1800 West just off of 600 south. I know of several homes that are about 1900 sq.ft in the mid to low 160's.
North Logan is going to be a bit higher just based on location. There is also some new construction in that area as well. I am talking about the flat ground between 800 East and Hwy 91. If you go up the hill things can get expensive fast. I know of some lease to own homes that might concider renting to you for awhile but I would have to look up the price range. The Utah State department of Human Services runs Bear River Mental Health. There are also social workers in the hospital which is run by Intermountain Healthcare. Try intermountainhealthcare.org
I dont have the info in front of me but I do have some referral info for property managers in the area. If you want, that just send me a direct message, my brokerage doesn't really deal with rental properties but we have some info.
If you have any other questions I will try to help. Good Luck with the move

I just want to thank everyone for the help on the job search for mental health professional. I'm still looking, so assistance is still welcome, but your help has narrowed my search
