An apartment I'm looking at is a sublevel apartment with the top of the patio wall at ground level. It's made of concrete, with wooden posts on either side supporting the balcony above. Is there a gate or barrier that would prevent a 90 lb. dog from jumping over that wall? While possibly also providing privacy? Some of the other tenants have used chicken wire (or some similar material) but A. I don't know if that's strong enough for him B. If he did jump up there, I don't know if it would hurt him C. It doesn't provide privacy and D. Honestly? It looks tacky. I've been looking on different sites but thought I'd see if anyone here has any ideas as well.

Thanks a lot!

What about wood lattice? We used it to block our dogs from going under the deck. It was fairly inexpensive and can be painted any color or left natural. During summer you can grow flower vines on it for extra privacy.

years ago when we were renters we had a scenario like that. We chose vinyl lattice. It came in nice large rolls, and we fastened parts of it together with metal fasteners. It kept things together well and it didn't weather as wood did. They come in lots of sizes and lengths. If I recall we got ours at Home Depot.

Vinyl is a great idea! We used wood to blend in with the decking but yeah, vinyl is pretty weather proof. Maybe cheaper too?

Vertically mounted used pallets !

Create flower boxes from them by adding a *bottom* to the spaces, and plant whatever in them.
