Default Portland Streetcars in SLC?

Salt Lake City may be seeing some of these in the near future:

According to the Salt Lake Tribune, the city is commiting a $300,000 study to determine if it really is worth the $37 million dollars that could be invested into a two mile track leading from the Sugarhoouse neighborhood, and eventually into Downtown Salt Lake. If built, this line would service up to 2300 people daily.

The article also says that over a time span of ten years, the Portland Streetcar has attracted 3.5 billion dollars in development of their downtown.

Just think what this could do for Salt Lake!
