Utah is great. People are great you always have a few who don't like it. It is their hobby to sit on this site and bash Utah and the good people .
You can go to Ca and learn Spanish. I live in CA but rather live in Utah. Plenty of fun girls in UT. Ya there will be more with higher values (if your only out to get laid stay closer to the city's) , But there are others with less

WOW!! Even I didn't think that there was that much negativity in Utah.
Don't put to much weight into what many of these naysayers have to put in.
I Live in Logan and commute to ATK which is about 15 miles further west than the P&G site. My drive is rarely so bad that I need to alter my route or driving habits but there was one day last winter when it took about an hour and a half to get get home but you can have that anywhere in the west when a big storm hits.
I would recommend looking anywhere from Harrisville to Willard. It shortens your commute but is still close enough to access Ogden. For a single non-mormon, Ogden may be your best choice, it has a fair night life on 25th street with many clubs offering different styles of dancing from country to hip hop. Ogden puts on an awsome street festival every year in july but it does get hot. Ogden has great access to hiking and when I lived there as a single guy I loved many of the shorter hikes after work to unwind.
Ogden is more diverse than other Utah cities partly due to its proximity to Hill AFB. Weber State University has a stong Arts program and events are offered throughout the year. Snowbasin is a top notch skiing facility accessed by either Ogden or Weber Canyon. In the summer (going back to the trails) you can hike the Beus canyon trail up to the top of the strawberry lift for one of the most breathtaking views around. You can fish both rivers although public access on the Ogden is harder to find.
I hope you will take the opportunity to come out and visit to see for yourself that Ogden isn't that bad of a place although I will reccommend checking out neighborhoods closely before making any long term decision.

Awesome thanks for all the replies. I'm going to have to come out that way for a long weekend before I move to take a look. I'm glad to hear a lot of people really like the area. There is no question Utah is beautiful. I'm originally from Maine so the snow will be what I'm looking forward to the most.

Ogden generally is not a dangerous place and is one of the least LDS cities in the state (along with Salt Lake City, parts of central and western Salt Lake County, Park City, Moab, and to an extent Price). Some parts of it are kind of dumpy, but overall it's not that bad. Downtown is finally starting to undergo a renovation after being the laughingstock of the state for 15-20 years and crime has gone down a lot. The only areas in Utah that really have bad crime rates are maybe a few neighborhoods of Ogden, parts of West Valley City, western and parts of central Salt Lake City, and South Salt Lake. However, no matter where you go crime isn't that much of a concern.
