Aloha kopykatman, I live in Hawaii and plan on visiting Utah this week for a few days, it kind of sunrises me that a Hawaii local person like you enjoys Utah due to the huge weather difference, did you move there for job reasons and cost of living? Are you used to the weather there? we're thinking of relocating to utah soon. thanks.

Sorry for the late response on this but yeah...it's been awhile since my family and I left Hawaii. We moved from Hawaii to California first, then we came to Utah. I've been acclimated to the cold weather so I'm used to it now. We came here to Utah for a change of scenery. I didn't like living in CA, and my wife is from Utah so we decided to try it out. Cost of living is affordable, so much better than HI with a big family. So that is one of the reasons also. The winter has been real long, I heard that this is the worst it has been. It snowed/hailed on the 1st of May! It is just now warming up but there are some days where we still have 40 to 50 degree weather. Utah is a nice place and I consider it to be a second home.

thanks for replying! I'm glad that you enjoy Utah, since moving from Hawaii to Utah is really a huge move, but I guess since your wife was from utah, it made the transition a lot easier. Have you experienced this before. Our family is thinking of relocating from Hawaii to Utah, after visiting Utah for 3 days, my husband’s nose bleeds a lot due to the dry weather, we’re worried that this might be a long term thing if we decide to move over, but some say it just takes some time to adust. I sure don’t want him to have bleeding nose all year long if we move to Utah, so was wondering you have experienced this and did it last. btw, we did experience the snow on our trip to utah on 5/1 as you described, we're just back to hawaii to make the final decision if we should move or not. My husband is getting the same offer salary of 80K in Utah, and the employer's reason is the cost of living in utah is lower than honolulu, in your opinion, do you think that sounds fair? sorry for the many questions here...Many thanks for helping!
