I'm relocating to Utah from Ky. around the end of Apr. to be with my g/f when she starts school, and I'm interested any information about the rental of apts. and/or houses. I know Park City being a resort area means that rentals, if available, will probably be pretty steep. But I'm also interested in anything with in a approx 10-15 miles of Park City, but haven't had much luck with finding anything online. I'd be commuting to SLC to work, so I'm thinking it would have to be N/NE of Park City. Any info about that area, or any other for that matter, would be greatly appreciated.

Park City is an isolated small town. You haven't found anything within 10-15 miles of Park City because there isn't anything within 10-15 miles of Park City except for mountains and snow. If you do an online search for Park City, you should be able to bring up homes in Jeremy Ranch, which isn't really a town but a less expensive offshoot of Park City. That would shorten your commute by about 10 minutes.

Thanks, I'll look into it. I was looking at Snyderville, Gorgosa, Altus, and Silver Springs. I've found the the towns and cities, but actual information on rentals is somewhat limited. Are there any good resources for that kind of info? All the ones I've tried don't seem to include those areas.

You're going to pay through the nose for a house rental anywhere near Park City. And Apartments? Mostly rentals for VACATIONS - week to week.

You'd be better off renting near the U in the Foothill area....and driving up to PC on weekends. If your GF is going to school at the U - it's a much better commute as well. 20 miles up and down a steep interstate.

Try the Trib's classifieds..

Here's the classifieds from the Park Record - Park City's newspaper

I live in Park City and am looking to move to Salt Lake because it is ytoo expensive here. You will be able to find plenty of rentals in April but they will only be available til Dec when they will be rented out nightly. Many areas of Park City have only houses not apartments tha's why you won't find apt. in many subdivisions. Jeremy Ranch is mostly expensibe homes. There are a few apt. Check out Mountainlands Housing Authoroity. they have a website and show apt and roommate ads. You'd be better off in SLC though. Cheaper better and bigger housing for the money and no commute.

Try for Summit Park since that is the closest you can get to SLC and still be in Summit County and "on top of the hill". There are some rentals in Summit Park but I doubt they are listed online.

Other towns close to Park City and reasonable for commuting to Park City and SLC are Wanship. Coalville, Kamas, and Francis. Rentals (usually older homes) are available but not online. Check out the online version of the Park Record.
