Sure. It doesn't snow all year round. Kids play all the normal sports here (football, baseball, basketball, soccer, etc).

All of the sports are big in their respective season - basketball, soccer, baseball/softball, swimming, etc.

There is only snow in the winter. The summer gets blazing hot. Kids love all the sports here and there are plenty of opportunities for them to play! My youngest plays soccer each spring and fall.

It seems like the communities have tons of sports for the kids to play here. I've noticed since my son is quite young, that there are a number of things for the younger kids to do here as well

It does not snow in most parts of Utah very much. The mountains get a lot of snow, but that's a distinct meteorological phenomenon. The valleys get a few light snowfalls and the occasional dump each winter. If you're from the mid-Atlantic region or New England, for example, you're probably used to more snow than Utah gets. The only difference between sports kids play in Utah and anywhere else is that there's the skiing and the remnants of the Olympics, so if your kids wants to pursue a winter sport (ski jumping, speed skating, etc) then the facilities are there.

Basketball is particularly popular in Utah, but not to the extreme.

Basketball is probably the most popular team sport in Utah. Football is probably second. Baseball isn't very popular here as it is in the midwest and northeast.

A lot of kids also play basketball outdoors.
