Default Monticello, Moab housing

Hi- I am thinking about accepting a job offer in Monticello, UT and want to get some thoughts from people who have been there. I have been to Moab, and love the town and the area for its outdoor recreation opportunities. I know Monticello is a lot smaller, but does anyone have any thoughts on living there if one likes Moab?

Also, I can't find housing. There are only a few hundred houses in the whole darn town and none of them are for rent. Does anyone know how to find housing in Monticello or Moab?

You can e-mail me at km60013@gmail.com too and I would really appreciate your feedback! Thanks all

km

Monticello is a very different town than Moab. Moab caters to the tourist and has more 'life'. Monticello is, at least, close to Moab! The housing prices are much lower, and the real estate agents often manage the rentals. There is usually a waiting list for rentals in Moab, so apply asap. Monticello is higher in altitude than Moab and colder in winter. It is close to canyonlands and Mesa Verde and alot of beautiful country...but it isn't Moab.
