Default This might be helpful

I keep getting my posts dumped by admin (not sure why ), so don't know if this will get through, but----

Just read something that might be of big help to the non-LDS who'd truly like to know how to get along in Utah.

It's an article written by a politically-active Democrat who's also Irish-Italian and Catholic. Think you'll find it helpful (there's a lot of wisdom and good-humor in the article). Now comes the hard part: because we're not supposed to cut-and-past, etc., etc., just let me say, his name is Frank Pignanelli and he's a regular at a certain newspaper in SLC. The article in question is in the'Viewpoint' section (front page of same), and--you may be able to access it at deseretnews(dot/youknowtherest)!

Actually, it is in the "Opinion" section, not "Viewpoint."

Smile Thanks

Thanks Llasa. I had to use the search feature to find the article as I couldn't see a link from the paper's home page but quickly found it using the author's name. I found the article humorous and informative. I'm not familiar with all the references to people or historical events that were mentioned in the article so I can see that I'm going to have to do a bit more research!

Actually, Sgt, in the paper I'm looking at right now, it's in section G, which is entitled 'Viewpoint,' which is the opinions section. Maybe they have different headings for different areas?

Anyway, wherever you find it, it's titled, "Non-Mormon guide to success in Utah,' by Frank Pignanelli, and it's a worthwhile read!

Could be. I went to the website you listed and couldn't find a "Viewpoint" section. I searched by author, and it locked up on me. When I went to the Opinion section, it was the first article.

Cute! Verging on disrespectful at times, but always with tongue firmly planted in cheek. Mostly.

I liked it!
