Default Swimming in Utah Lake

Hi! I read that swimming in GSL may not be so pleasant, so how is Utah Lake outside Provo? I'm interested in sailing and water activities..
Thanks!

Utah lake is on the nasty side too. Most people around here will go to a reservoir for water activites. There are several to the east of the Salt Lake area (deer creek, jordanelle, east canyon, echo)

Another nice place is Bear Lake on the UT/ID border, about 2 hours North of SLC.

Yes. Go to Bear Lake. The developers are in the process of ruining Garden City, but it is still a wonderful place.

I second what the ppl say about the GSL. We don't have lake stink for nothing. I've been there once. That was enough.
