Default getting fined for not cleaning out the snow?

I heard that there's a fine for not cleaning out the snow in front of the house by 9am every day? Is this true? then is it better to live in a condo? thanks.

Many cities along the wasatch front (and perhaps statewide) have ordinances about this very thing. I've lived here all of my life and I've never received a fine/ticket for not removing my snow in a timely manner. If you at least clear the snow when you get home from work, I'd say you're doing your part. You might luck out and get a nice neighbor who'll do it for you. And perhaps you can help them with something someday. Snow removal applies to the sidewalks around your property....not your own driveway.

The Cities are much more likely to ticket you for parking on the street during the winter... It makes it difficult for snow plows to do their job.

I work a job that has me out of town 4 days each week. I've only rented so far, so I've never considered this problem. So - what am I supposed to do if I'm gone so much? I can't be the only one in this situation. I have been ticketed for having my car on the road in the winter. Same problem. I left for a trip while the weather was good. Come back a few days later to snow and a ticket. Bleh.

As far as the parking on the road thing, what are you supposed to do if you rent and have to park on the street? I didn't get a ticket at all this winter, but the plows kept coming through. I had street parking only.
