Looking to relocate - but where?
My fiance and I are looking for a place to live after we're married. I lived in Logan for a year and loved it, so I'm pushing for Utah. He wants someplace with a small town or 'village' feel to it. Since he works in the hospitality industry (he's a McD's manager), we need to be within a decent commute distance to an area with restaurants. As for me, I don't drive, so I'd like to find a town/small city that has decent public transportation. Failing that, I'd like to live somewhere that I can walk to stores, the library, etc. Am I seeking the impossible? Ideally I'd like to have access to a community college, but it's not a deal breaker.
Thanks,
seren

what about cedar city or St. George in Southern Utah, both of these cities have everything you mentioned.

Southern Utah is great if you like very hot arid summers with milder winters. I recommend Heber, Midway, Kamas, Silver Summit or Woodland. They are like villages with mountains, friendly folks.
The winters are picturesque, filled with skiing at nearby resorts, cross country skiing - - out your back door, ice skating and hockey. Springs are lovely, wild flowers peaking out from the melting snow and the smell of the air, refreshing. Summers are a blast with near by water sport destinations, water skiing, rafting, fishing, camping, horses, golf, tennis - - - then there's autumn - - No place more spectacular. The colors are breath taking. Park City and Deer Valley are chuck full of great restaurants and expanded hospitality industry possibilities. Logan's USU has extension courses in Heber and PC. There are area rodeos, kids fairs - it's a great area. Summit and Wasatch counties - wow.

Cedar City does sound like it might fit your requests. It is not that hot in Cedar as it is much higher elevation than St George areas. Definitely four seasons in Cedar City. There are a number of houses for sale or rent near the downtown area, which would put you within walking distance of downtown shopping and the college.
