But saying that Utah is totally crime ridden, and telling people to get out while they can, isn't all that realistic when comparing Utah to other states, where crime, illegal immigrants, and inflated housing is a HUGE issue. Utah is a lot safer overall, then many U.S. states.

Utah has grown extremely in the last twenty+ years that I lived there. More cars, more people, more houses, some areas have more jobs, many have jobs that close down and leave, low wages, not great benefits, a lot of empty houses, a huge meth problem even in the nice areas, gang activity gets worse all the time. Unfortunately, it is what you get when everything grows larger. While CA falls into ocean, UT will get it's big earthquake & all the homes and businesses sitting on and shaking the vault line will get flooded by the Great Salt Lake. Tit-for-Tat. Welcome to Growth!

I don't blame the immigrants for coming here. I blame the politicians for allowing excessive immigration to happen. Most of the immigrants are hard-working good folks, but we can't allow open immigration, it tends to let a few bad apples in.
Utah would welcome your visit and you shouldn't have any problems.

Why are you people giving up the cities that our ancestors built? Stand together and keep the cities and the suburbs.Do not let invaders into your area.U.S.A. citizens,yes.Invaders- no.
Read your history,1911,Columbus,New Mexico,Pancho Villa and learn,if you have the courage.

Last month a neighboor from down the street came over almost every morning it snowed in december and he shoveled the sidewalks the driveway leading to the backyard and even the walks without being asked or payed. There are even some people that live just below him and they are very lazy. They don't keep up their yard in the summer and they don't shovel in the winter. I shoveld their sidewalk to the crosswalk at the top of the street without being asked or payed. That is what every neighboorhood should be. A group of people looking out for each other. It is like a small family.
