Oh you don't have to live outside of SL to be close to the mountains. We live in Murray and have an outstanding view of the Wasatch Mountains. It only takes 5 min. to get to the base of the canyons.

I really like Murray. It is a very convenient location (close to most everything). Although I don't have school age kids I heard once that the murray and logan school districts were the best in the state. I think the neighborhoods are friendly. Just like anywhere though I think it takes a while to get to know people.

Layton is all I really know about since my brother lives there.
Although, I would love to continue to learn more and more about UT!

Are there newer houses in Murray or will the neighborhoods be older?

The area we live in is way older. Our house is 50 yrs. old. I drive over to my son's preschool teacher's house though (2 min. away) and the neighborhood is like huge, new homes. I have seen some new houses being built in areas over the past few years but as far as a whole new development I'd think you'd have to go out west for that.

Hey LAFrench have you been able to convince your wife about moving yet? If she enjoys things like spas and such there seems to be a lot here, and the health care for woman is really great. I just need to talk hubby into letting me enjoy one of those spas just to try it.
