Well, we had rain every day for the first half of June, which is really unusual. Summer finally arrived a couple of days ago. Heat is a good thing! (As long as the humidity is low, as it is here.)

LAFrench, we moved to Utah from central Florida last year. It was a great move for us (well moving itself sucked, but being here doesn't).
The food is different, ppl are different and they have a weird way of naming their streets. But its been overall very nice for us. My wife and kids had never lived through a winter before, but they love the snow now.
We miss family back east but economically its been great and we would do it again if we needed to. Let me know if I can answer any questions.

Arrgh! If I never saw another snowflake in my life, I would be happy.

Where are you originally from, Kaytidid? Was there snow there, too or did you come from somewhere where the weather was always nice and warm?

I moved from NJ, so yes, we had snow AND icestorms. My dad was military and we spent most of the time in northern states (including AK). The only time we lived in the south was for maybe a year in AZ when I was 2!

Also moving to Utah
I am also moving to Utah from Florida (Tallahassee). Does anyone know anything about the two Catholic HS's? Judge & Juan Diego? Do they both have a good reputation?
Does anyone know of catholic parishes in the SLC area with a lot of families & kids?

I would think there would be greater concentrations of Catholics near downtown Salt Lake. Other than that Utah has lots of good places with "lots of families & kids". I mean, its Utah.
All I know about the catholic HS in the area is that they have better soccer field facilities than public ones.
