Question Anyone from Layton?

We recently put an offer in for a house in East Layton and while I impatiently wait to hear form the seller I did a little searching online about Layton. I came across a site that talks about the code enforcements in the area which mentions that there is a limit of two dogs or two cats or one of each per household. Does anyone know if this is really the case? That would be a big issue for us since we currently have 3 dogs and 3 cats. They are all a part of our family and would without a doubt be coming with us. I would hate to give up this house but my fur babies are important to me. If anyone knows could you please get back to me? We may have to recind our offer if this is the case. Thank you all for all the wonderful information you provide on this list.

I'm not far from there, and yes, I think it is Davis Co. thing.

I did have 3 dogs for 2 years, but they 2 of them were extremely well behaved and the 3rd came to us as a rescue. I did have one neighbor periodically point out to me that we were over-limit, but there wasn't anything to complain about. It could have been a problem if we had some rivalries with a neighbor. I'm disappointed about this code too.
