Utahans,

can you recommend the best resources or share links to finding quality single family home rentals (not apartments) in areas within an hour of SLC?
Craigslist has its limits.

Any advice/help you have is much appreciated!

Try ksl.com - KSL Home Page - Utah's #1 Online Destination for News and Information and click on the classifieds tab at the top.

Glad to help. You can also check the Salt Lake newspaper. Salt Lake Tribune Home Page - Salt Lake Tribune

Good luck!

Come on everyone,

surely there must be some other sources you, the reader, have run into. Please share any information you might have, or share your own experience and the solution you found to your housing needs.

Thanks!

When I was apartment hunting Craig's list was by far the best source. Most of what I found on KSL was stuff already on Craig's list. I would suggest keep checking that. Or if you have a general area in mind just cruise around the neighborhoods looking for "for rent" signs. Not super efficient but these were the methods I used, and I ultimately found a great place on Craig's list. You just have to act fast - the good ones go quickly.

The only other option I can think of is to find a Realtor who specializes in rentals.

Cinnabon, I think you're right, Craig's list is probably the best bet. One thing that is odd though is that I find such listings as "men's housing/contract, or women's housing/contract, or even "private room for girls". What is this all about? Is it an LDS thing? I've never seen such listings here in crazy California.

Hey, I ran into this place on Craig's list, but as I look into it, there doesn't seem to be any listings:

Find And Rent
If it's in Utah County, it's probably due to BYU. To be approved for BYU, apartments have to be one gender or another.
