First time I heard of someone from Hawaii not wanting to go back. I have visited there a few times and I have to agree....great place to visit but I could never afford to live there. I look at it as a great vacation spot but if you lived there, then where would you go to vacation lol

I lived there 12 years and loved it, the water sports, fishing other islands

I came to Utah not prepared for the freezing to hot weather and miss walking around in shorts 365 days

Same for Utah, if you love mountain hikes, Moab, Zion and snow you'll love it for that reason.

I think how you can use where you live to your liking your half way there.

True I grew up in CA and loved the nice weather years round. Moved to Utah and had to get used to the snow and took up skiing and loved the change of seasons, now in Oklahoma....I sort of like no snow again...but the humidity, tornado warnings, flooding.....yikes!

Just out..........
In Depth: America's Most Stressful Cities
No. 8 Salt Lake City, Utah

Utah’s capital has the 13th least affordable housing on our list and the 8th highest price at the pump in an area where cars rule. The home of the Utah Jazz also has the 14th highest population density of areas surveyed with 281.7 housing units per square mile. Salt Lake does have a 5.9% unemployment rate, but as a Best Place to Be Unemployed, that may not be such a bad thing.

Also on the list are Chicago, NYC, San Francisco, San Diego. All great places to live unless you're underemployed!

Thats the strangest list of complains I've ever heard , reason being you can see that anywhere. I live in Michigan im 50 miles west of detroit so I dont deal with it to much where I live but I have been to detroit , Washington DC, NYC, LA and yeah its heavy traffic and yes there are some people that think there the only ones on the road but you get over it and move on ....

So it just comes off bitter.

While visiting St George and Cedar City a couple of years ago, I was very impressed with the local's friendly, helpful attitudes. Utah is a beautiful state and the people treat you with respect. More than I can say about many other states!

Utah's unique in some ways for an open book DVM written test, (stupid drivers)
There's no speed bumps on the road to keep the stupid drivers in there lane.
No hands free cell phone law
Not bitter at all, I'll be more understanding when there less stupid.

Personally I wouldn't say stupid, but there are an awful lot of people here, with absolutely no common sense. They are oblivious to so much, that anyone paying half-attention would notice! Naive....no street smarts....makes people gulliable.

And their lack of common sense makes things dangerous for the rest of us.
