Default Moving to Orem, Utah.

I recetly got a job in Orem. I am looking for a place to live with my wife. Please give me some suggestion. I would like to know how is the public commute system in Orem because I don't drive yet.

It will be really helpful if you can give some tips on cummute system and rentals that are close to N Technology way. Since I dont drive now I am really looking something close to it.

I'm originally from Orem, but I've never taken public transportation there. N Technology Way is looks to be around 1600 North and 800 East ish. When searching for housing, also considering living in Lindon, which is the next town north of Orem. There's an Albertson's grocery store on 1600 North & State street and a Harmon's grocery store on 8th North and 8th East. There are restaurants, banks and gas stations. The closet mall would be University Mall in Orem on 12th South (University Parkway).

Don't know what rentals are available in that area. You can access the local newspaper by going to: Daily Herald - Home

The good news is, Technology Way is in a nice area of Orem. The bad news is, the housing around it is quite expensive (large houses) so you might not be living within walking distance. And the public transportation isn't very good. The only real public transit option is the bus. You can look at the routes and schedules here: Welcome to UTA

You could also be within bike-riding distance if that's an option for you. It's kind of hard to get around without a car; I hope you'll be working toward getting your license. Are you looking to rent or buy? If you're buying a home, look at utahrealestate.com and check the Orem and Lindon homes (Technology Way is near the Lindon border). If you're going to rent, check the Daily Herald (linked in post above), ksl.com, craigslist (Provo area), and perhaps check with your new workplace to see if they have leads on housing. Good luck!
