Folks don"t move to Utah for the booze ! I was shocked when I first went to buy liquor in a state liquor store in Washington state. It was like buying it from a uniformed police officer with badge and all. It really was shocking coming from California where one could buy Tequila and whisky right next to the bread isle ! Here in Montana the state is the wholesale distributor and if it's not on the states list ya can't get it here. I like hard to find tequilas and I have a hard time finding anything but the most common brands.

In NJ you cannot buy beer or any alcohol anywhere except liquor stores - although there are a lot of those around and they are not state run. It's strange to me that here you can buy beer at 7-11, Grocery stores, Costco, Walmart, etc., 7 days of the week. It's much more readily available here, even if it is a little weaker.
Who drinks those wine coolers anyway? But I think it's funny they pulled them out of the convenience stores when they have so little alcohol in them - the rational that teens will want them or whatever is pretty stupid. I read recently that there is concern that the alcohol laws will discourage tourism, so there is pressure to loosen them up, and I think there is a lot of truth to this. Utah has a reputation Nationally of alcohol being very inconvenient to get.

Well yeah, everyone knows it's because of the Mormons not drinking. But even so, I think they should be a bit more tolerant of those who choose to drink, and not assume that social drinking = falling down drunk.* And if the laws affect the economy by reducing tourism that affects everyone.
* Here's why I say this. My LDS landlord is an absolute doll, but drinking was an issue in the lease and the application even asked if I drink. Although he didn't out and out ban it, he clearly he does not approve of it at all.

What Im saying is this state is the only one that is requiring distributors to change the labels on the bottles and thats why they are pulling out..THE ONLY STATE IN THE NATION. I didn't say the only state that doesn't allow it in stores..there are some counties in Maryland where Sundays are dry counties and one the blue law is still in effect. Car dealerships in some counties as well are close on Sundays..just a law in that county..not statewide..ugh everytime I swear I say something on here its automatic situation where I am downing mormons IN SOME PEOPLES OPINONS which in fact IM DOWNING THE STATE FOR THEIR STUPID LAWS

I don't think it sounded like you were downing the Mormons at all. However, everyone knows the reason that state has stupid alcohol laws is because Mormons do not approve of alcohol use of any kind. I'm sure if they could reinstate prohibition in this state they would. (Just stating a fact, not bashing anyone!!!)
