Coming to Park City in December for a 4 days. What should be on my MUST DO LIST ?
Wife and I and my sister and her hubby are all going to Park City mid December. Besides the skiing, are there any must do's such as must-eat restaurants, must see-sites and excursions ? I want to make it a memorable trip and have a whole lot of fun. Thanks for the heads up !

You can check out the Olympic Park, if you're into that. http://www.olyparks.com/uop/index.asp I've never been but I've heard it's fun. It's an awesome little town just to walk around the old part of town, where there are a lot of shops restaurants and bars.

I always liked the Prime Steak House on Main St. in Park City. On Friday and Saturday nights Ciceros on Main St. usuallly has a pretty good band.

Don't eat at the Mexican place on main street. Worst food ever. Do visit Olympic Park. Drive into Salt Lake if you have time one day and see the historical sites, temple square, etc. Try Red Rock Brewing Co in park city (or salt lake) for some really good food. Enjoy the beautiful scenery and drink lots of hot cocoa!

If you like beer I would recommend Wasatch Brew Pub on Main Street in Park City. You can try a local brew with some interesting names (like Polygamy Porter) and the food is pretty good too.
For sight-seeing I would recommend a trip to Temple Square in Salt Lake City in the evening to see the Christmas lights. The trees and gardens of the square are decorated with hundreds of thousands of lights and there is a life-sized nativity display. You don't have to be LDS to visit the square (or even religious) to enjoy the amazing display of lights.
You might also consider a day trip to Antelope Island (located in Great Salt Lake). The island is a State Park and offers a great view of the Salt Lake and a chance to see some wildlife most notably American Bison. There is also a visitor center there that has information & displays on the geological history and wildlife of the area. The island is accessed via road causeway just west of I15 near Layton (north of Salt Lake City). There is an admission fee.
If you have kids (or just want to be "big kids") Gorgoza Park, just of the interstate between Park City & Salt Lake City offers tubing which can be a lot of fun and nice change from the Ski slopes.
Unfortunately several other interesting sites such as Bingham Copper Mine, and Timpanogos Caves are closed during the winter season but the beauty of the mountains and the snow and snow-related activities should still make this a fun visit.

I love that place! I've been recommending it to people but I never heard anyone else mention it. It's quite pricey, but amazing food & service. I went in early fall when they were having 2 for 1 specials on dinner entrees - I doubt they do this during prime season, though.

If I were you I would visit the Tanner outlets, it's fun, and the ladies would love the name brand stuff at 50% of the price. I once picked up a pair of Nike boots that retailed for $199.99 for 20 dollars.
A great steakhouse is Butcher's Chop House and Bar on Main. They are excellent, especially during lunch, the had the one of the top, most juicy steak I have ever had for $12.
Olympic Park is great also.
Plus, great skiing at the Park City Resort, there is a great hot cocoa shack and Mexican restaurant there.
Have fun
