If you are in a valley, then yes, you are pretty much guaranteed to have inversion. Higher elevations like Park City doesn't have it.

Utah has had in the past, the worst air quality in the country in the winter. Will this year be better? doubtful

Logan is a very safe and clean town, you shouldn't have any problems with that.

The only major problem I have with Logan (as I said in the other Logan topic) is that it's a growing city that would like to think that they're still a small farming village, so they've had pretty terrible growth management.

I live in the Cache Valley area and today it is 26 degrees with falling snow. Cache Valley is a diverse area due largely to the university in Logan. A wide range of economic status from very wealthy to very poor. The free food line is long these days. Cultural events are many and varied due to the activity of a local group headed by a former opera star. The air is clean except in the winter when we get inversions which trap fog in the low lands. Still somewhat rural in outlying areas. Shopping is quick and easy with a wide variety of stores. However, clothes shopping is somewhat limited. No Nordstrom or Target, a small Dillards, some fun local stores. Rated the safest place in the nation last week much to locals dismay who like the population to grow at a slow rate and think we are probably large enough now.
