considering that our youths' reading and writing skills have gone down the toilet at the same time (lol, lmao, wazzup, luv, ur, and all kinds of garbage), i'm sure that within a few years we'll be back to grunting and roaring for communication.

What about the progressive dinner....that is something I found only in Utah. I asked someone here in Oklahoma and they didn't know what I was talking about.

Its a dinner that takes place at different homes. Each course is served at a different house. Well at least that was the way it was done in Albquerque at the Luthran church I grew up going too.

Okay, actually my recipe is the layered one...PIA, but so pretty.
Something that I have only seen in UT...the teenage dating... they don't just ask someone to a dance/event, how boring!! They have to frost it on a cake, or put it in a balloon, or hide it in candy wrappers, or get it on the marquise. My D just went to a dance, and all of the girls put one shoe in a pile, the boys take a shoe and find the matching girl to dance with! Cute, can't imagine anyone doing that when I was a teenager!
|
We did that shoe thing at dances when I lived in Germany...

I was recently home in Virginia and my brother-in-law did it for an activity and that was the first time I've ever heard about it... so not just a Utah thing!
