Farm Land
I am looking for 20-40 acres of farm land with water to lease in Davis or Weber or Box Elder Counties. I am a resident of Davis county. I used to own 20 acres in Fielding Utah and grew alfalfa on that land. I am now looking to lease land in order to grow alfalfa again. I am willing to pay the normal lease rate. Please contact me if you have or know of any possibilities.

Hello- I have a 40 ac parcel of land in box elder county. i live in another state and have not been to the land and unsure of it's use for raising alfalfa. You may be able to trade this land for another that woule be suitable to your growing alfalfa. kolpt@earthlink.net

there is a ton of land out there being dumped on the market for less than 500/acre. i've seen 40 acres of dirt being sold for 250/acre. no chance of farming on it. careful careful. get your engineers out there, and maybe a geologist. check your PH levels. do everything in your power to figure out why it is so cheap. and don't count on any water.

Hi-I am replying to this thread hoping you all are still around. I am looking for housing in the SLC surrounding area, that has acreage (> 5 acres). My family of 4 w/ horses, llamas, cats, dogs, are moving from Northern CA to somewhere (not known just yet) in the SLC area (job may be near Roy). Real Estate sites aren't showing much country living. Any suggestions on where best to look? Areas w/ barns, workshops on properties, stuff like that, is what we are looking for.
Thank you!

Try the Plain City Area or Far West area, this is just north of Roy.

I accidently came across this forum yesterday. My family owns about 100 acres in Marriot Slaterville, which is just south of Plain City. It is in a family trust now, but we will likely be breaking it up and distributing the property to benificiaries soon. Some family members will continue to farm it and others will likely put some parcels up for sale. Some parcels may also be leased out. The property is level and includes water shares in the local irrigation company. Some parcels include access to the Weber river. If you are a serious buyer or are interested in leasing land to farm/ranch in this area, then send your contact information to gentlegiant874@gmail.com. I'll pass your contact information to family members that express an interest.

Response to thread
I am interested in leasing or perhaps, buying a horse property. I have 2 horses currently boarded at Heritage ranch. I would require water sufficient for the animals. Willing to share or sub-lease to alfalfa grower. Minimum requirement 1 acre. Would need a shelter available or permission to construct one.
