Are you still there?
Hi folks. I posted an article about a nutcase prophet in Utah that predicted the end of the world on Christmas day. I just want to check to see if any of you experienced this prediction. If so, then I guess you're not here and can't reply. As for me, the part of California where I live is, happily to report, still here.

Throughout history - as far back as we can imagine, people have been predicting The End instead of enjoying the Now. And each time the End doesn't come (thank goodness). I for one am sick of hearing about the end. It's a scam. And even if the world will end someday - I don't want to constantly hear about it, it's a useless negative distraction......

Yes, and even if it DOES end, depending on your beliefs, we will all be together again with our loved ones anyway, so does it really matter in the end??

still alive and well in oklahoma unless a tornado comes unexpectedly tonight and wipes us out. I like to think positive and try to live the best I can and then if the end comes, well I won't have to worry that I have done something I will be sorry for.

Actually, he was almost right. With the Christmas Day Blizzard, it did seem like the end of the world for a while.

Where? There was rough weather everywhere across the central and northern parts of the U.S., even here in SJ where I was damn near blown off my feet while getting the smoker ready to fire up for the Christmas smoke. No snow of course, but fierce wind and pelting rain. But after a few minutes, bright sunshine, and a calmness that seemed odd because of such calamity just minutes before. Rare in SJ to see weather change so quickly like that. But I like to see rain and wind 'cause SJ is rather boring when it comes to rough weather. It's just too plain, boringly beautiful most of the year.

He was talking about here in SLC and surrounding areas. It was a real nasty storm blowin' Christmas day. I'm with you though I like the storms once in a while. Mixes things up. Where I'm from (Alberta) actually I get quite disappointed with the storms here...lol especially the rain and thunder storms in the spring and summer. Not that they don't get good ones once in a while just certainly not as common. Here if we get a downpour of 20 min. its like a huge deal. At home it would downpour practically nonstop for days. I do miss the rain.
