Default Trying to remember restaurant-Ogden area?

About 15 years ago we were on a visit to Utah and our tour guide book recommended a "real home cooking" type of restaurant that we really enjoyed. I'm 99% sure that we went there on the day we drove (from Park City) up to Ogden and Promontory Point.

I think we ate a late lunch on the way back from Promontory to Ogden. I seem to recall it was in a smaller town, not Ogden. Does this ring any bells with anyone? I'm heading back in a couple of weeks and I'd really like to take my friends to this great place.

Northern Utah News is on a distinguished road
I would bet you are talking about Maddox Ranch House. Still there and going strong. Just north of Ogden but south of Brigham City. Highly recommend it.

Thanks Jay,

I looked at their menu and the street view, I'm 99.999% sure that that is it.

We're penciling it in for our day trip on the day that we're not skiing.

You could be talking about the "Idle Aisle" Cafe in Brigham City. It has good food and is very old, rustic, cafe. If its not the Idle Aisle, one of the previous posters who suggested the Maddox Ranch House is probably correct.
