Default What do you like about living in Utah??

I thought I would post a positive thread about Utah.
I lived 27 years in Utah, had to move away and will be moving back. When I moved to Utah from California, I wasn't extremely excited about the move but due to a job it became a reality. Now I can say there are many things I like about Utah but will keep it short and maybe all of you can share what you like about living in the beehive state and why

I love the mountains and the snow...yes the snow! The skiing in Utah is incredible. It is by far the "greatest snow on earth" IMHO. The powder is amazing.
I love the 4 seasons. I love no humidity.
Home prices are reasonable. I realize the economy is bad, but even before a median price home was great compared to the west or east coast.

Ok your turn.

all of these plus:
The mountains really does top the list - I still can't get used to seeing them from everywhere & how they always look different depending on the weather & lighting...
Arctic Circle / Crown Burger / fry sauce
9 ski resorts close by!!!
Abundant outdoor rec. opportunities & lots of people into this stuff...
Moab and the 5 National Parks, Monument Valley and all that desert scenery
Vegas not too far away
Park City
the downtown library
Red Butte Gardens & Cactus & Tropical
Sugarhouse & Liberty parks
The canyons - Millcreek, LCC, BCC, Provo canyon, etc.
photo opportunities everywhere!

well some of these are particular to SLC...

carlymac will become famous soon enoughcarlymac will become famous soon enough
Mountains
Family and friends from a whole lifetime (well till age 40)
The smell of sagebrush after a rainstorm
The crickets chirping at night in the summer
The canyons- hiking
Quaking Aspens and pinetrees growing next to each other
The smell of pine trees in the mountains
Low humidity
Summer evening thunderstorms that are fun to watch and not so scary (like in MN)
24th of July holiday
Boating at Echo
Friends with boats
Spring that comes in March or April instead of May or June
Living close enough to church to walk
Friends with similar standards and interests
Less cigarette smoke and foul language
Snowstorms that melt off the roads rather than staying icy for months
Best skiing!!

Maybe he means the whole drive on 89 from south to north. Could be where it splits by Lagoon. It's pretty. I used to live off hwy 89 and cherry Lane.

There are alot of things listed that people like that I didn't think about.

I forgot about fry sauce, because it really isn't in other states too much. Crown burger fry sauce is my favorite.
