Default Dugway UT

Hello all, I currently live in the Charlotte, NC area. I have been out of work for right at a year so I have decided to interview fo a postion in Dugway on one of the Bases. Can anyone tell me what life is like? I also want to know what the housing situation is like?

It is in Tooele County almost on the border of Nevada. It is in the middle of nowhere. The only base is the Dugway Proving Grounds. I do know that they have base housing. I don't know how easy it is to obtain. There are also schools out there. I know for sure an elementary, and I do believe there is a high school also. For any other housing, you would need to drive to Tooele; a good hour drive. I am pretty sure they have shuttles that you can take to Dugway, however.

I live in Tooele County, but not Dugway. Tooele is really the biggest town in the county. It has experienced a boom since I first moved here in 1994, but by all standards is still small. You really can't go anywhere without seeing someone that you know. I love living here, but small town living isn't for everyone. If you have any specific questions I can help with, let me know.

Good luck!

You might be living in English Village. It has just about everything you'd need...but not everything you'd want...LOL. It has some eateries and a small commissary. But you will probably want to travel into Tooele or Grantsville for more civilization. It's pretty desert country out there...none of the green of NC, but then again none of the humidity either :-)
