Default Are You Familiar With Payson? Provo?

I have a sister who recently moved to Payson with her new husband. They are (as she puts it) "broke as a joke", and expecting their first child. I'd like to help her out but she's somewhat lacking in financial discipline, so I'd like to order gift cards for her instead of sending just money. I'm unfamiliar with Payson (they work in Provo,) so it would be very helpful if one of you kind, cyber-folks would tell me names of some of the most-used spots down there she'd be likely to use...gas stations, grocery/supply stores, maternity/baby stuff stores, popular (clean) entertainment places & restaurants, etc. If they have a web site that you know of right off, would you mind including that? Thanks in advance!!!

I don't know much about Payson stores, but I just checked walmart.com and there is a super walmart there. I think that would probably be one of the most helpful places for a gift card, since they could get everything from clothes to food to strollers there. It 's not my favorite store, but it does have a pretty comprehensive inventory.

Default Most Useful Gift Cards in the Area

I can tell you this as a recent arrival to Utah County: WalMart, Target, Office Depot, Pier 1, Bed Bath & Beyond, OfficeMax, even Albertsons.

Gift cards were happily consumed at all nearby and I'm not far from Payson.

Welcome to your sister!

Thanks again to you both! What gas stations do you see most often there?

There are many gas stations. Texaco, Mavericks, Shell. I recommend using google, and typing in Utah county gas stations.

Thank you, Calibelle.

I could use Google, but it's faster to ask people who live there - so why not try that first? Residents can suggest stations that are perhaps used most frequently (because of better prices or easier access.) Just thought I'd explain the logic.

Cheveron is also a good bet as far as gas stations.

There is a Walmart and a Shopko directly in Payson. The Wal-mart is a super center so it has food, clothing, home, electronics, etc.

There is a Smiths, Maceys, and Food 4 Less within Payson as far as groceries.

I believer there is a small entertainment place in payson, but the cloeset nationally know will be the Cinamark at Provo Towne Center. You can buy gift certificates at any Cinamark and they can be redeemed in Provo.

They are building a new subdivision in South Santaquin so i'm sure that they will build more stores there eventually.

Hi I grew up in Payson, and my parents still live there and in-laws live near by. As for grocery stores there is a Smiths and Payson market. As other posters have said there is also a super Walmart. Maceys and shopko are in Spanish Fork about 10 miles away. There is also a KMart in Spanish Fork. Food 4 less is in Provo. As for gas stations there is Crest, Texaco, Connoco, flying J and a few mom and pop stores. There is a rite-aid pharmacy in town as well. Payson also has hogi-yogi, subway, McDonald's, Wendy's, and Taco Time as far as chains go for gift cards. Provo/Orem area has most of the regular chain stores. Olive Garden, Toys-R-Us and Babies-R-Us (I think it is still there, if not I'm sure someone will correct me), Target, Sams Club, Outback steakhouse, Sizzler, ect. I know there are alot more stores out there, but I just can't think right now . I hope this helps.
